What are the most popular artwork subjects?

The Fine Art Trade Guild released details of the most popular subjects for artwork today. It’s interesting to know what people buy when it comes to adorning their walls and even more interesting (to me) to see whether the subjects of our limited edition prints are on the list.

Out artwork tends to be soothing and relaxing – which I believe is what most people want from their artwork and surrounding today.

But let’s see what the Fine Art Trade Guild has to say:

1. Landscapes.
2. Local views.
3. Modern or semi-abstract landscapes.
4. Abstracts.
5. Dogs.
6. Figure studies (excluding nudes).
7. Seascapes, harbour, and beach scenes.
8. Wildlife.
9. Impressionistic landscapes.
10. Nudes

Interesting! We don’t have nudes in our collections and no dogs (to date) but eight out of ten isn’t bad at all! Although it doesn’t surprise me really – the world of nature, ecology and conservation has never been so popular.
