Need fire in your life?

Fire. What a powerful element it is. The colors of fire – in this case a fiery sunrise –  are among my favorites.  When it comes to adding life to home decor, the colors of fire will immediately do the trick, especially if they are supported by golds and a few accent colors.

That’s why the print below, and its color selections, are perfect to add a special something to your home.

Of course, the print itself has a bright sunrise but in addition, it’s also quite soothing. It isn’t blazing. The palm tree (the ‘happy tree’ in symbolism) creates gentleness. The calm ocean has a soothing effect, as do the fluffy clouds. The balance is just right in this print. The colors excite, but do not over-excite.

And the accent colors can take your room in whatever direction you wish. You can use the reds and oranges to enhance the power of the red sunrise or you can calm it down with some of the cooler colors (I particularly like the sage green on the top row.)

At first glance, this print is a ‘hot’ image that would only suit certain decor but take another look at the color chart and you’ll see that it blends so well with so many color schemes.
