Do you need ideas for events?

Of course, our favorite events are exhibitions. It’s wonderful to see Andy’s art photography on display and listen to the fantastic reactions people have to his work. But we offer so much more than exhibitions  and you can be sure that they are meticulously planned and promoted.

Andy wants to share his work. He wants to share his knowledge. He isn’t one of those artists who have closely-guarded secrets! We can arrange events for you that achieve a great deal of publicity and promotion, ensure participant satisfaction and help generate awareness and revenue for your business. As always, we promote our events with press releases and via social media before, during and after the event.

Exhibitions. Although I started the article determined not to write about exhibitions, they are still a wonderful way to promote your business so I felt obliged to make it my first recommended event :)

Beach walks. These are wonderful events and, if you have a beach hotel (or any business that it close to the beach) are easy to develop. They can be stand-alone events or a monthly series. These can be iPhoneography events – and iPhoneography is exploding in popularity right now – or can be casual talks about marine life. Andy is an expert on seabirds and other flora and fauna to be fund at the beach. Or a combination, of course. If you have a local hotel or restaurant end your beach walk with a breakfast for participants. Andy can give a further talk (along with his iPhone-driven presentation) after or during breakfast. There are many ways that this theme can be developed.

Workshops. For many years, cruise ships have featured guest speakers and workshops and now hotels and resorts are following suit. We have found that keen iPhoneographers range in age from young teenagers to seniors. There are those who will say that iPhonegraphy is for ‘young teckies’ but that’s just not the case. There is a rapidly growing number of people who want to learn more and more about the subject. They can learn all about Andy’s favorite tips and tricks! As with beach walks, this can be accompanied by a lunch or buffet, demonstrating your F & B department’s skills.

Walks at other venues.  Although the beach seems to be Andy’s natural habitat, he has also done iPhonegraphy walks in other areas, including in the wilds of Shropshire, England when it was under a blanket of snow! Walks are perfect for botanical gardens, national parks, historical homes, local attractions and so on. We can even arrange a workshop on a boat in the ocean!

Book signings. Andy’s books are very popular and he is in demand to sign them. A book signing can be combined with a presentation and talk. Don’t think that this is just applicable if you have a bookstore. We can create books that have your own business’ (subtle) branding which means that people who are buying your book are taking your ‘advertising’ home with them. Books can be created using a wide variety of subjects and, as with all of our books, there is no minimum order and they will be available permanently for sale on the internet.

Motivation. Motivational talks have been very popular for many years. It seems that everyone is looking for that little extra something in their lives. Andy is not a speaker who specializes in motivation – it’s his artwork that promotes the motivation! Motivational posters and books can be created with, if you wish, your content. These can be spiritual quotes, business quotes (great if your destination holds business conferences), ecological or whatever you wish. As we have spent years creating slogans in our previous corporate lives, we can create the quotes if you wish.

Road trip information. If you are a hotel, resort or destination, it’s a great idea to produce a book of ideas for guests who would like to take a trip for the day to nearby areas. We can produce a book for you, with your branding of course, featuring Andy’s photographs, of suggested road trips within easy traveling distance of your hotel. Because these are custom books, information can change at any time so that they are completely up to date at all times. The production of your road trip book is a great reason for a reception and book signing and is very newsworthy.

Social media events. Tweetups have been around for a long time so let’s try a twist. Andy  will be in attendance at your event, showing your guests how to make the most of smart phone apps and geo-location tools and signing your custom-published books. How about a sweetup where guests enjoy a selection of desserts and send they photographs to social media? Or, if you’re a hotel or resort, a put-your-feet-up on your beach or by your pool? Or an eat-up featuring your new menu? Or a meat-up featuring a barbecue? A suite-up can take place in a hotel’s suite – a great way to promote them to existing guests, event planners or travel industry professionals. Try a trick-or-treat-up at Hallowe’en. A marguerite-up is great if you serve Mexican food.  (And I’m not going to even think about what a toilet-seat-up could be!)

We have many more ideas – many crazy but worthy of achieving great publicity – random acts of culture, guerrilla gardening, yarn bombing,  light projections, flash mobs, Pinterest contests and a plethora of QR code promotions. Let’s talk!
