Artwork – what’s your style?
If you look at old photographs of homes before the Second World War, the chances are that, allowing for differences in income, interiors styles were often pretty much the same. If you think about a Victorian interior, you probably get more or less the same mental image I do. It’s the same with other eras too. But not today.
I love modern interiors. My sister prefers completely traditional decor. My brother’s home is decorated in what I call ‘Florida-style’. I also like to blend a few Mid Century Modern pieces in my home (yes, the more or less inevitable Eames chair!) so many homes today have an eclectic mix of styles.
That’s why I’m pleased that our artwork suits so many different types of interior. What I’m writing now is just the beginning of what I hope is going to be a large section of this site. eventually, you’re going to see about twenty links and images below that take you to many examples of the different styles. It’s a major undertaking so I’d better get to work! Check back soon!
